CCM (Comitato Collaborazione Medica) is an Italian NGO operating in Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, South Sudan, Somalia and implementing a variety of health-related projects.
CCM has just been granted an Italian Development Cooperation one-year project, focused on the development of Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care services in Ethiopia.
Contract duration: 11 months (possible extension)
Start date: End of May - end of April 2013
Job description
The Project Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the intervention, in all its technical political and managerial components.
S/he ensures the proper application of the organization and donor policies and guidelines in terms of visibility, reporting, monitoring and evaluation.
In collaboration with the Country Representative, s/he is in charge of the selection and recruitment of the local staff.
Moreover, s/he is responsible for:
? the management of human resources appointed to the project;
? the management of the project budget, including cash flow, monthly fund requests, budget amendments, and financial report;
? the project procurement, following the organization and donor guidelines.
The Project Coordinator is reporting to the Country Representative.
Requirements
? Post-graduate degree in relevant field (e.g. public health, Reproductive health, Health System Management ) or substantial equivalent experience;
? 3 years of relevant work experience
? Proven high level skills in program coordination, management and supervision;
? Strong administration skills with proven experience in budget management and accounting;
? Previous experience and understanding of Ethiopian context is advisable;
? Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
? Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
? Proven leadership, problem solving and organizational skills with flexibility and patience;
? Familiarity with Italian Development Cooperation regulations and policy is an asset;
? Fluency of both written and spoken English
? Very good knowledge of the Italian language is essential;
? Confident and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
